If Barack Obama’s vision for the U.S. Supreme Court is to appoint moderates and centrists and have a non-partisan Supreme Court that actually focuses on interpreting the law based on the Constitution, then what does it say about his opponents that they see that as a nightmare vision?
I think what it says is that they are extremists that want the Court to be tilted even farther to the right and even more anti-worker and anti-consumer than it already is.
Don’t forget that this is the same people that had been attacking Obama’s nomination EVEN BEFORE IT WAS MADE AND EVEN BEFORE THEY KNEW WHO THE NOMINEE WAS!!!! This is just sick.

This is unbelievable we (Senate) will spend up to 90 days to verify what we already know will happen. Sotomayor will be confirmed and I think thats a good thing. Its the old guard again; lets get on with the agenda of making America a batter, safer, more productive place to live. She is a great candidate, and this is a new America, thank you Mr. Obama. Yes the constitution calls for a confirmation hearing, but lets cut through the BS and get it done.

It wouldn’t matter which woman Obama picked for the Supreme Court. GOP dumb-shits can only handle women as dumb as Scarah Failin as their LACK of masculinity doesn’t feel threatened then. But, if you find a woman who’s intelligent as Sotomayor or Hillary, they feel threatened, become full of hate & show their well-known hypocrisy.
The dumb-shit GOPs have to face the FACT Sotomayor WILL be nominated, because if she isn’t, the GOP will lose the ENTIRE Hispanic & women vote in 2010 & 2012. LOL!

There is no debate perios. This woman not a “chick”-Glenn Beck. is highly qualified for the job. Most of the arguments towards her are absurd and ignorant. Get it over with and put her on the bench.
Not surprising that the ultra left sees her as a moderate. About as moderate as a representative of La Raza is supposed to be. I notice there was no outcry when lieberals savaged prior minority high court appointees. None of their number cautioned against making such overtly racist statements as “turning off the _______” (insert minority group here). Just goes to show that lieberals have a double standard.
