To the ground? That’s food for life being created right there… well… it would be if it wasn’t so damn cold in that area. But volcanoes spew out rich soil and minerals necessary for abundant plant life and vegetation to thrive. Why do you think Pompeii was such a rich and prosperous country in it’s time? Cause the ground was very fertile and perfect for growing crops etc. They didn’t know it was a volcano but anyway…
