Narrabundah College 2008 Sichuan Earthquake Fundraiser The Sichuan Earthquake in China was one of the most devastating earthquakes to occur in the People’s Republic of China. The event touched the hearts of many within China, and those Chinese living overseas. In response to the earthquake, on the 23rd of May, 2008, Chinese volunteers (students) at Narrabundah College organised a fundraiser, with donation boxes and a BBQ, and raised AUD$2508. Narrabundah College, in Canberra, Australia, has a large Chinese minority.
